Create your own Tropical Oasis

Plants are the best way—and easiest—to bring a pop of color and joy to your home. By creating an in-home oasis, you are bringing a little bit of the tropics to your living space. As we talked about in one of our previous posts (link here) having plants in your home has numerous benefits to your health and psyche.

Creating a tropical oasis in your home is as easy as picking your favorite orchid and pairing it with other luscious greenery. Here are some plants we recommend using in building your in-home garden.

This friendly Dracena Marginata mimics the height of many orchids and can be added as a floor plant to your room. From vibrant green leaves to spindly branches, this plant along with the colorful flowers of the orchid will make you feel like you’ve just stepped into a rainforest.

Sometimes less is more, but in the case of this gorgeous garden more is more. With a sansevieria cylindrica, cacti, and a viney philodendron, this little oasis is eclectic and proves that any home can be enhanced by the elegant and colorful blooms of an orchid.

This split leaf philodendron is a summer icon as it is so often printed on beach bags and bathing suits. Combine that with the vibrant blooms from any orchid and you can create a corner of your home that feels like a beachy retreat—making any day feel like a vacation.

The waxy leaves of this Ficus Lyrata provide a lush backdrop to our elegant Swan Orchid and create an arrangement so beautiful it’s Instagram-worthy.
